HvMzM offers comprehensive care
„Hilfe von Mensch zu Mensch e.V.“ (“Help fromOne to Another e.V.”) is not only the name of a humanitarian organization but also the description of a group who are committed to understanding, respect and tolerance for all people. Hilfe von Mensch zu Munsch e.V. was founded in 1992 to work with Bosnian refugees through aid-transportation and fundraising. Almost two decades of development have seen the humanitarian organization grow to Europe’s boundaries and beyond, providing a holistic, multifaceted approach to working with children, youth, families and the elderly.
What sets HvMzM apart from other Non-for-Profit Organisations?
Here at HvMzM we take a professional and legal approach to assisting refugees. However, we use as much freedom as possible to provide refugees and migrants with flexible and sympathetic support and services. The vast majority of employees and volunteers at HvMzM have experienced first hand the impact of migration; many coming to Germany themselves as refugees. They know the difficulties refugees face. With first hand experience and expert knowledge they aim to provide practical solutions to our clients’ problems, rather than just another form to sign.
Why is “Intergration” one of HvMzM’s primary aims?
We are aware of the knowledge and abilities that refugees bring with them and their potential to contribute in a meaningful way to the broader German society. We reject the view that would see these strengths go unused, and the assumptions that refugees simply bring problems into Germany. We believe in integration both as a concept and in its practical benefits. Due to this belief we are passionate about helping refugees and migrants find a new home and role here in Germany.

What are HvMzM’s underlying work ethics?
HvMzM works with all refugees and migrants in need of support, with an emphasis on those who have been forced to leave their homes due to war and terror. We strive to give back to these war victims control over their own lives as soon as possible, so that they are once again able to stand on their own two feet and contribute to society.
We also look to promote international consciousness and tolerance towards war victims. To read more please go to the “About us” area of the website and read the “Tasks” section of our “Statute”. Alternatively call our office and we will be happy to assist you with further information.
Why is working with immigrant children so important to HvMzM?
At HvMzM we place a special importance on working with children and youth. Most migrant children and youth have limited opportunities to study and gain an apprenticeship. In our opinion, if the education and apprenticeship system fails, our political, social and health care systems will also end up failing as a result. It is with this in mind, that we work with migrant children and youth to achieve their academic and social goals. The sooner these goals are achieved the better the future looks for Germany.
