Vorstellung: Edis Adrović
My name is Edis Adrović, I am the vice-president of the Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of the City of Živinice and I was born on 17.01.1978 in Peć. I have been deaf since my early childhood. I have lived in Živinice since 1982, where I moved with my parents. I attended elementary and secondary school in Živinice, where I obtained the qualification for electrician. Since my early youth I was active in the Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Tuzla and Živinice.
Since 2007 I have been a successful and active member of the sports and cultural section.
With my selfless efforts in the association, I managed to solve the issue of financing the basic needs of the association as well as the issue of premises for the association from the city of Živinice. For many years I have also been active in the Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of the Tuzla Canton. Several times I was the coordinator of cultural and sports events for the deaf in Tuzla, where several hundreds of deaf and hard of hearing people from Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighboring countries participated. Together with my closest co-workers, I was responsible for organizing peaceful protests for the realization of human rights of deaf people, organized by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo in September 2013. More than 1500-2000 deaf people from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in it. I participated in numerous sports and cultural events for the deaf in Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighboring countries.
Since August 2014, I am the owner of the successful company „Radom za budućnost“ (Work for the Future) Živinice, which deals with production of vegetable seedlings, dried fruits and various varieties of flowers and employs people with disabilities.
I am one of the initiators for the establishment of the Sports Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the Federation, which was successfully realized.
I started to work for the organization Help from People to People, where we help the deaf in Germany coming from the Balkans as well as migrants and refugees. We offer advice to deaf people about their rights in everything they need in life.
Greetings to all.
